Yes, Michael Dowd, in Thank God for Evolution! writes,

”What the hell are we preaching?!”

In mid February 2007, as my wife and I were in the final editing stages of this book, Connie approached me, her face distraught. [ … ] She told me that she had been multi-tasking, listening online to the most recent sermon by by one of her favorite ministers. The sermon was on love; it was a practical sermon about how couples – and church congregations – might work to sustain love over the long haul. Connie was exasperated. “It was a good sermon, as far as sermons go,” se said, “But without a grounding in evolutionary psychology, what the hell are we preaching?!”

...a grounding in evolutionary psychology... is a guarantee of ignorance and blatant stupidity. Sorry for stating the obvious, but that is my penchant. When I see transparently speculative BS promoted as "science" I am angered, because these clowns undercut the legitimacy of real scientists, who pursue the truth wherever it leads. I count myself among the group of legitimate scientists who finally concluded at one point (after a lifetime predisposition to a materialistic worldview) -- through reason, logic, mathematics, and evidence -- that Darwinism is a dung heap of empirically unsupported speculation and illogic, inspired by a passion not for science, but a desire to remake reality. Evolutionary psychology is the worst of the worst in terms of scientific integrity. It resides at the very bottom of the Darwinian outhouse.GilDodgen

A gem of a quote Ms. O'Leary, 'The sermon was on love; it was a practical sermon about how couples – and church congregations – might work to sustain love over the long haul. Connie was exasperated. “It was a good sermon, as far as sermons go,” she said, “But without a grounding in evolutionary psychology, what the hell are we preaching?!” ,,,No doubt they shortly talked themselves out of that sobering 'moment of clarity'; ,,,I know what firmly grounds love and is completely antithetical to evolutionary thought, Jesus said: John 15:13 'Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.' ============= Jeremy Camp - The Way (Official Music Video) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9q6o4sbndVEbornagain77
