The Magic of Reality:

To judge from the Intro, the questions will likely be less than probing.

Isn't this somewhat redundant? The God Delusion was already chock full of childish schoolyard arguments.kernan_rio

In the beginning was Nothing and Nothing created Everything. When Nothing decided to create Everything, she filled a tiny dot with Time, Chance, and Everything and had it explode. The explosion spread Everything into Everywhere carrying Time and Chance with it to keep it company. The three stretched out together leaving bits of themselves wherever they went. One of those places was the planet Earth. ~ Joe Carterbevets

My concern is that by attempting to remove from children the "suspension of disbelief," he is paving the way for a generation of mistrustful, humourless eight-year-old mini-Dawkinses. I don't think that parents would appreciate the tendancy to always question their instruction, which this book would be most likely to stimulate. I certainly approve of the aim of teaching independent thought, but I don't like the idea of doing so at the expense of trust and confidence. I certainly don't see many Christian parents wanting to buy this book, because it is all too clear to them that Dawkins has an agenda, which certainly is not free thinking. It is, as he has clearly demonstrated for the last eighty years, the complete eradication of religion. This book seems just another reassurance of that.Luke Tyler
