Evolutionists say evolution is a fact, every bit as much as gravity is a fact. That is remarkable. We see and even feel gravity everyday. Evolution, on the other hand, entails rather dramatic, one-time, events that were supposed to have occurred long ago, when no one was around to witness them. How could we be sure of such a theory? There must be some extremely powerful and compelling scientific evidence for evolution to make it a fact as gravity is a fact. That is what one would think. Here we are playing this silly game again. Of course evolution is a fact just as gravity is a fact. But this is really a play on words and the issue is what is the mechanism for evolution as just what is the mechanism for gravity. We know that most micro evolution often can be attributed to sexual reproduction along with mutations and selective pressures and other genetic processes. No debate really here, just the extent of it as an explanation for even the small changes. But there is no evidence for any mechanism for macro evolution (the definition used most often here,) just as there is no evidence for any mechanism for gravity. Are gravitons exploding outwards and reflecting back? So the evolutionary biologists such as Pigliucci, Coyne and Dawkins support ID even as they denounce it. Why, because they can provide no evidence for their beliefs. And when people so committed do that they support the opposite of what they believe. So cheer up and salute the greatest proponent of ID in the world, namely Richard Dawkins..jerry_{March 31, 2010

Cornelius, It's called prior commitment to a specific world view. They (the evolutionists) are full of it. What is your opinion on the subject of how things came to be as they are? I mean do you favour the notion of a natural process that is directed or do you side with special creation? My own feeling is that the intelligence behind the cosmos seems to do things very slowly (at least in our frame of reference) and in a way that we can understand (through natural mechanisms).aqeels_{March 31, 2010
