Update: I got an email back from Prof. Behe. I assume he wouldn't object to me posting it here. Here it is: "Hi, Mr. [Collin], nice to meet you. I defend irreducible complexity whenever I see it attacked in an intellectually serious venue, such as academic journals or books. Often I post my writings at the websites of the Discovery Institute (a lot of good articles from an ID perspective can be found there). I haven't seen any such serious attacks in a long time (a number of frivolous ones, though). However, IC is a potent -- in fact, fatal -- problem for Darwinism, and I have a new book (called Darwin Devolves) coming our next February that shows the depths of the problem. Best wishes. mjb" Collin
Irreducible complexity is pretty obvious. Try evolving Microsoft Office with a genetic algorithm. EricMH
Irreducible Complexity is a fact and as such cannot be refuted. It can merely be ignored, or misrepresented. Mung
I'm glad to see this because just today I was wondering if Behe was still actively doing research/publishing. I even sent him an email this morning prior to seeing this. I asked him if Irreducible Complexity is still actively defended. Can anyone tell me if it is defended or if it has been refuted effectively? thanks. Collin
