Does anyone remember Carl Sagan (1934–1996) and the Pale Blue Dot?

Why doesn’t this sort of thing seem so cool any more?

Could Privileged Planet have had something to do with it?

One of the coolest ideas from Privileged Planet is that the vastness of the Universe is required in order to have the necessary structure and degrees of freedom to configure all of the habitability parameters of Earth for advanced life forms like us. Psalm 19 comes to mind. MikeW
