Forty questions, scored, will reveal whether you holler for the Beard like a New York Times science writer. Or … does your faith need strengthening? Have you slipped from your Darwin Day resolve? Do you need to spend more time on new atheist literature or money on Darwin fish decals?

9. Darwinism, suitably updated, is good 21st-century science.

or

Darwinism is a relic of 19th-century science; Darwin’s work has now been largely superseded.

10. Darwin shared many of the conventional opinions of his day, including the superiority of the white race.

or

Darwin embodies humanity at its best and deserves the status of a secular saint.

11. Darwin’s ideas and their unintended consequences have done a lot of harm.

or

The world would be a better place if everyone had to learn about Darwin’s ideas.

12. Hostility toward evolution is a major factor in the decline of American educational standards when compared with international standards.

or

Other factors (such as classroom disorder and the breakdown of the family) have contributed more to the decline of American educational standards than hostility toward evolution. More

Faltering Darwin followers, take action before you come to your senses and realize that you have made a religion out of a troubled theory in science. (Our jobs here at UD depend on your faithfulness in Darwinism’s hour of need. Arise, and Stamp Out Darwin Doubt!) 😉

I scored a 1 out of 40. I attribute this to one part genetic mutation and 39 parts creative genius, whose, I will not say.Tim

I scored 2 out of 40, making me a bona fide Darwin doubter. And Roy is right, the test has incredibly biased statements for each question.Barb

The test is too extreme and there is plenty of room in the middle of their choices.

Maybe I should say that this test looks less it isn't a test of factual knowledge, but a test of bias. Most of the questions contain two false or partially false statements; a few contain two true ones. Only a couple have a right and a wrong answer. If the test designers have done their job correctly, then about half the questions will have the more extreme - or totally wrong as opposed to partly wrong - claim in each direction, and an extreme score in either direction is bad. I'm not sure they have though. RoyRoy

"Darwinist in training", though I'm not sure how much value there is in this since it consists largely of choosing between two false statements. RoyRoy

News: Where can I get my certificate and membership card for the Darwin Doubters? (And, where is the tee-shirt? The mug?) KF PS: I think the framing is a little forced at points, and overall is about evolutionary materialism; it seems to me there are many theistic Darwinists.kairosfocus

I scored 3 out of 40. So where is the line drawn between being a "bona fide Darwin doubter" and a fundamentalist? Oh, right. I scored less than 40. Keep up all the good work.Pinkney
