On the 21st: Among other sources, the Daily Mail hails it as the Star of Bethlehem:

Both gas giants, they have been gradually getting closer to one another since the start of summer.

And, on December 21, the planets will appear to virtually overlap in the sky in a phenomenon not seen since the Middle Ages.

Jemma Carr, “Return of the star that guided three wise men to Bethlehem?” at Daily Mail

Note: There are about as many theories about the Star of Bethlehem as about the origin of life. Here are some.

I'm with you on this one, Mikel. Anyone who thinks a star or planet in the sky can guide a person to a specific location must never have tried it at night. RalphDavidWestfall
Re: the Daily Mail hails it as the Star of Bethlehem When they had heard the king they went their way; and lo, the star which they had seen in the East went before them, till it came to rest over the place where the child was. -- Mat 2:9 I think Jupiter and Saturn might be a little too big to "come to rest over the place." Obviously it was a local phenomenon. Makes me wonder if these people actually read the Bible. mike1962
