Hominin Fossils Yield Uncooperative DNA Data

Scientists continue to improve their amazing ability to recover microscopic DNA molecules from ancient fossils and this new source of old data is causing problems for evolution. The latest finding, published earlier this month, comes from hominin fossils found in caves in northern Spain. In recent decades fossils from a few dozen individuals have been found in these caves. According to evolution these fossils should have been ancestors of the Neanderthals but the recovered DNA have falsified this expectation. Instead the DNA is more closely related to the Denisovans, so named after the Siberian cave where their bones were discovered. This is not a minor problem and, once again, evolutionists struggle to reconcile their theory with the evidence as these quotesreveal:  Read more

TSErik LOL that's funny. On a more serious on topic note, I wonder how far can the Darwinists stretch their theory to absorb contradictory fossil evidence before reaching a breaking a point? I think the breaking point is already here.Shogun

Shogun: mapou, Or they could claim that bats are transitional between mammals and birds. Or how about the platypus?
Off topic, but related by hilarity. My wife gave me a shirt for Christmas this year (early gift) that depicts a sketch, which looks at home in a 19th century text, of a platypus and the caption: "Go home evolution. You're drunk." Go home evolution. . .TSErik

A million years from today, surving hard core Darwinists will dig up the bones of various breeds of dogs and declare that they have uncovered the transitional species between the wolf and the Chihuahua. Then they will boldly claim that it proves that evolution occurred as they predicted, via random mutations and natural selection. :-DMapou

BA77, Evolution's defining characteristic is its non-falsifiability. They are just going to continue to dig up human remains dated older and older and refer to them as "human-like ancestors". I wouldn't be surprised if it gets to the point where they have to say that species anatomically similar to modern humans convergently evolved before chimps. Considering all the other evolutionary imagineering that has been invoked, that would actually be a conservative hypothesis.lifepsy

lifepsy,, or how about,,,, Humans evolved from....humans!!! "Humans have a distinctive hand anatomy that allows them to make and use tools. Apes and other nonhuman primates do not have these distinctive anatomical features in their hands, and the point in time at which these features first appeared in human evolution is unknown. Now, a University of Missouri researcher and her international team of colleagues have found a new hand bone from a human ancestor who roamed the earth in East Africa [supposedly] 1.42 million years ago. They suspect the bone belonged to the early human species, Homo erectus. The discovery of this bone is the earliest evidence of a modern human-like hand, indicating that this anatomical feature existed more than half a million years earlier than previously known." I believe recently there was a modern human hand bone found dated at 1.4 MYA. The explanation was that modern human hands evolved much earlier than modern humans. Really, as a devout member of the church of Evolution, why couldn't one just claim a separate line of primate species morphologically identical to modern humans convergently evolved a couple million years ago?lifepsy
