Call for Papers for the 2012 Science and Science Fiction Conference to be held April 12-13, 2012, at Oral Roberts University in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

… solicits papers/abstracts to be submitted on the conference theme covering all forms of speculative science and speculative fiction, including story, film, television, radio, graphic novels, and theoretical physics.

Paul Davies is somewhat of an odd ball to me. One can never tell or identify whether he is a closet IDist or Materialist. He clearly sees the complexity of life, but somehow wants to desparately hang onto to his materialism comfort zone. Or if his lukewarmness and no backbone style is an attempt to appease both sides as a way to simply further his career as a Media Celebrity Darling within scientific circles. He sort of reminds me of the scripture where Elijah put a question to the unfaithful Israelites: 1 Kings 18:21 Amplified Bible (AMP) (21) "Elijah came near to all the people and said, How long will you halt and limp between two opinions? If the Lord(Intelligent Designer) is God, follow Him! But if Baal(Evolution), then follow him. And the people did not answer him a word." In any event there is another issue. Given the location of this conference is yet another reason to avoid it altogether.Eocene_{October 19, 2011
