On the passing of the well-known Christian apologist, friends wrote to remind us of his argument for God from the design of the universe:

“The argument from Design says that God must exist because the universe points to a creator.”

And Zacharias’s wildly popular encounter with an atheist scientist:

May he rest in the light of eternal peace.

The student asking the question in the video didn’t realize that any scientist outside his/her own field of expertise is as dumb as the next guy. Apparent he hasn’t seen Dr Lennox’s presentations where he quoted that statement. Apparently the questioner didn’t see the Unbelievable? video where Dr Cronin was lectured by Dr Tour on OOL. :)jawa

Apparently the young AI student was asking a question that seems answered in John Lennox’s recent book “Determined to believe?” which deeply deals with the mysterious issue of human free will and moral responsibility before God. This is a controversial issue discussed among Christians. God has provided the true way to eternal reconciliation with Him through genuine trust in Christ Jesus. Such a faith requires genuine repentance. There’s nothing we can do to merit God’s forgiveness. It’s a gift. All we have to do is accept it by believing the forgiver. That means repenting from what we are forgiven for and accepting the gift. But that requires our decision, our free will. However, this is definitely a mystery: why some people believe after hearing the gospel message but many others don’t? What makes the difference? Not education, background, or anything except the free will. But why, how? Only those who decide to accept it can be reconciled with the forgiver. Creating a being that possesses free will is quite a mystery. Modern science has no clue how to do it. There’s a lot of nonsense literature on conscious AI having free will. And many people read it and believe so. Machine learning, neural networks, quantum computing, natural language processing, none of that leads to conscious free will.jawa

RZ mentioned John Polkinghorne. See a couple of physics books by John Polkinghorne: https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-Theory-Very-Short-Introduction/dp/0192802526 https://www.amazon.com/Quantum-World-Princeton-Science-Library/dp/0691023883jawa

In the video, did RZ say that David Berlinski is one of the world’s leading physicists? Is that accurate? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_Berlinskijawa

Atheists have no science to support their views. The laws of physics should not exist, since chaos cannot create order. There should be no life, since you cannot get something from nothing. Macro-evolution has never been observed and the results never been replicated. The scientific method makes thing quite clear on the matter. If a hypothesis is not observed and not replicated, it remains a hypothesis.BobRyan

in the second video of RZ answering a question by an atheist, it seems like RZ invited the questioner to meet so that he could answer his questions more calmly, without time pressure. It seems like the guy was asking a question that could be answered in John Lennox's recent book "Determined to believe?" which deeply deals with the issue of human free will and moral responsibility before God.
