Both atheists and theists have pondered this question. What is nothing at all?

Can it exist, by definition? Atheist physicist Lawrence Krauss of Arizona State University wrote a book on Nothing , and theist Hugh Ross, of Reasons to Believe, has offered a handy list of “nothing” checkoffs: Here.

Moreover, as was obvious from the Zeilinger/Freeman double slit video, conscious observation is found to display a 'privileged' position within the universe. This is supported from several lines of intersecting evidence besides the infamous double slit experiment,,
1. Consciousness either preceded all of material reality or is a 'epi-phenomena' of material reality. 2. If consciousness is a 'epi-phenomena' of material reality then consciousness will be found to have no special position within material reality. Whereas conversely, if consciousness precedes material reality then consciousness will be found to have a special position within material reality. 3. Consciousness is found to have a special, even central, position within material reality. 4. Therefore, consciousness is found to precede material reality. Now, I find the preceding set of articles to be absolutely fascinating! A photon, in its quantum wave state, is found to be mathematically defined as a ‘infinite-dimensional’ state, which ‘requires an infinite amount of information’ to describe it properly, can be encoded with information in its 'infinite dimensional' state, and this ‘infinite dimensional’ photon is found to collapse, instantaneously, and thus ‘non-locally’, to just a 1 or 0 state, out of a infinite number of possibilities that the photon could have collapsed to instead! Moreover, consciousness is found to precede the collapse of the wavefunction to its perceived particle state. Now my question to materialistic atheists is this, "Exactly what ’cause’ has been postulated throughout history to be completely independent of any space-time constraints, as well as possessing infinite knowledge, so as to be the ‘sufficient cause’ to explain what we see in the quantum wave collapse of a photon?

As to the question of Whom or what created the universe some 14 billion years ago, might it not help us to first consider the question of Whom or what created the universe 10^-43 seconds (1 Planck time) ago? Was it nothing or was it something??

Prof. Zeilinger makes this rather startling statement in the preceding video:
"The path taken by the photon is not an element of reality. We are not allowed to talk about the photon passing through this or this slit. Neither are we allowed to say the photon passes through both slits. All this kind of language is not applicable." Anton Zeilinger
I strongly suspect that what is termed 'the infinite dimensional wave function' is a big reason why Dr. Zeilinger made such a seemingly bizarre statement in the preceding video:

It should be noted that the infinite dimensional quantum wave function was thought, mostly by people of materialistic persuasion, to be abstract, yet, in the following paper, it is held that the infinite dimensional 'wave function is an optimal description of reality'.

Moreover, non-local (spooky action at a distance) quantum entanglement is now shown to be possible without the physical interaction of the particles first:

By contending that the universe appeared out of Nothing (non-existence), advocates forget that nothing is not "empty" space, which is neither nothing nor empty when one considers quantum foam, dark matter, dark energy, the Laws of Physics, etc. They forget that with Nothing, there is no time--no billions of years, no probability, and thus no chance for anything to happen, ever. God spoils it for them, since as long as He exists, if He chooses to locate a patch of it anywhere at all, it will still exist within a context, and relate to it; even if it seems to have an intrinsic existence as nothingness. God is all-embracing. Without Him, there COULD be/would be nowt. I think St John had something to say about that. That WOULD be nothing, indeed! Axel
