Setting aside for a minute, whatever Biden’s current issue is, how do we know Neanderthals were more violent or abusive than other early humans? Or humans today?
Shouldn’t their (accidental*) name just be retired as a term of abuse?
* We’ve no idea what they called themselves; they were named after a valley in which some skeletons were found. Most likely, in their own dialects, they just called themselves “the people,” however they pronounced that.
