The control that evolution supporters hold over the debate “is a kind of an intellectual apartheid,” said Doug Groothuis, professor of philosophy at Denver Seminary and author of 10 books that explore the relationship between science and technology and belief…. “Intelligent design arguments don’t quote the Bible. They appeal to the phenomena in nature, like the complex functioning of the cell. If you can’t explain the complexity (of an organism) on the basis of natural law or chance, and it shows evidence of design, you can infer a designer.” http://rockymountainnews.com/drmn/local/article/0,1299,DRMN_15_3982019,00.html

Moreover, she asked me to clarify where I stand on creationism. I responded with a brief essay that appears on my designinference.com website (go here). I titled that essay “Why President Bush Got It Right about Intelligent Design.” That essay has now appeared on Beliefnet, where it was re-titled — without my knowledge or permission — “Intelligent Design, Yes; Creationism, No” (go here). In the last two hours I’ve heard from Fox News and CNN. I’m to appear on The Big Story w/ John Gibson this afternoon (August 2nd) and on CNN tomorrow midday (August 3rd). This interest is in response to Read More ›
