With the intelligent design documentary Revolutionary being made available on YouTube, it seemed fitting to write a little about some of Behe’s ideas. I use a recent video on the subject by biochemist Fazale Rana as foil to discuss some of his objections to irreducible complexity. These stem from the 2009 paper in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences on the reducible complexity of the TIM23 protein transport machine. This was covered by many in the ID community when it was published but since Rana neglects to consider them, I draw attention to them in my article. Let me know what you think:
