Richard Dawkins’ autobiography has been reviewed in the London Spectator: http://www.spectator.co.uk/books/9025021/an-appetite-for-wonder-by-richard-dawkins-review/.

The reviewer’s verdict? “He relies just as much on a leap of faith as those religious believers he so keenly affects to despise. His theory also cannot explain how those selfish genes eventually came to evolve the one species on earth which is marked out by a unique capacity for self-obsessed egotism.”

Robert Byers @ 5:
I am suspicious of the hostilty to him by the establishment!!
When you write books wherein you categorize people as "stupid, insane or wicked" because they don't believe what you believe, or that they are delusional because they have faith, then don't be surprised when you receive hostility from those you insult.Barb

I have only read about the reaction to Dawkins book on this forum. I am suspicious of the hostilty to him by the establishment!! They are evolutionists and left wing and anti Christian even anti religious unless it insults a ethnic group too closely. Hmmmmm. I have picked up musings in the left wing that they find its unhelpful for their agendas to have a successful attacker of religious people. They hint its too much too quick. they fear the Christian etc backlass backwash on their general liberal evil agenda. To promote the gay agenda please don't attack Christianity!! I'm not sure but I think they don't like Dawkins hitting a bridge too far. They fear coalitions being sirred up at the roots. They fear people thinking a opposition to religion is the next liberal cause. Just speculating. The liberal media is egotistical as none before. Not just in CanadaRobert Byers

Not so, Mung. Dawkins is anything but harmless and he seeks very much to suppress dissent. Dawkins, like so many Darwinian mythologists, is anti-science.Usutu
