Dennis Prager offers a straight-talking primer on assaults on free speech

Spread the love

With a cameo by ID guy Steve Meyer, author of Darwin’s Doubt:

The roll out of No Safe Spaces, Dennis Prager and Adam Carolla’s documentary about assaults on free speech, seems to underscore the movie’s point. First Facebook refused to carry ads for the film. Then the MPAA insisted on giving it a PG-13 rating instead of PG. The reason? It shows footage of a protester punching a conservative student in the face for passing out tracts. And because of a brief tongue-in-cheek cartoon showing the First Amendment being shot.

Well then, gotta see, right? Here.

As they say, “You have the right to remain silent.”

This movie is actually angering a lot of people from my understanding I haven’t seen it yet but my family went to go see it and several people apparently walked out screaming “this is bullshit”
Which is kind of funny because that’s the whole point of the movie

Dennis Prager loves traditional marriage at least three times more than I do.

For years I laboured under the misunderstanding that “safe spaces” were places that were safe FOR differing opinions and perspectives to be shared and considered. Then I found out that they are places where people can be safe FROM differing views and perspectives. That’s when my eyes were opened to the insanity of the poli-correct crowd and the snowflake universities.

What does this have to do with the movie or it’s validity? Obviously you don’t like them and you want to call him out as a hypocrite but that doesn’t change the message of the movie

“This city is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions… What he means is Old Testament, Mr. Mayor, real wrath of God type stuff… Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!… Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes… The dead rising from the grave!… Human sacrifice, dogs and cats living together… mass hysteria!”

LOL. One of countless great lines from Ghostbusters. I like this, which follows shortly afterwards, I think:

    Mayor: What if you’re wrong?
Peter Venkman: If I’m wrong, nothing happens! We go to jail, peacefully, quietly. We’ll enjoy it. But if I’m right, and we can stop this thing…Lenny…you will have saved the lives of millions of registered voters.

At which point the Bishop in the room gives the mayor a supporting nod!

You really have to see and hear it to get the whole effect: Dogs and cats!

Yes Ed, we all know that you do not like the truth.

Ed’s desperation continues to shine, though.
