Creationists are now beginning to embrace the Design argument. If biology is Intelligently Designed, it stands to reason the designs can be used to teach humans how to construct designs. The implications of ID are not purely religious. This fact is often forgotten.

The presumption that biology is mostly cobbled together junk is a hindrance to medical and technological advancement. What benefit is there in viewing biology as cobbled together mistakes that happen to be reproductively selected for? None of any consequence. But if biology is truly designed by a mind beyond anything we can comprehend, we can learn engineering from the all-wise creator himself.

To that end, here is a book written by creationists describing the discovery of such designs by God:
Discovery of Design.

From the frontiers of scientific discovery, researchers are now taking design elements from the natural world and creating extraordinary breakthroughs that benefit our health, our quality of life, our ability to communicate, and even help us work more efficiently.

An exciting look at cutting-edge scientific advances, Discovery of Design highlights incredible examples that include:

How things like batteries, human organ repair, microlenses, automotive engineering, paint, and even credit card security all have links to natural designs

Innovations like solar panels in space unfurled using technology gleaned from beech tree leaves, and optic research rooted in the photonic properties of opal gemstones

Current and future research from the fields of stealth technology, communications, cosmetics, nanotechnology, surveillance, and more!

Take a fantastic journey into the intersection of science and God’s blueprints for life – discovering answers to some of the most intricate challenges we face. Experience this powerful apologetics message in a multi-purpose resource as a personal enrichment tool or as an educational supplement.

Excellent points in this thread by the author. If biology is from chance then investigation of biology would/should be chaotic and not easily mimicked. If biology is from the same god who created physics then it should be logical machine like and so investigating it can lead to mimicking it for mankinds gain. I repeated what the author said but i want to add my thumbs up. I think its possible evolution being seen as creator hid the physics of biology and stifled imagination/dreaming of what observable biology could teach about designing things. Its a win win for creationism.Robert Byers

I think one of the earliest creationists was an ID advocate. He said something like "The heavens declare the glory of God and the sky above declares his handiwork". He also wrote that "I am fearfully and wonderfully made".snelldl
