ID Proponent Jonathan Wells on Starbucks Coffee Cups

Both Skeptic Forum and Krauze at TelicThoughts are reporting that quotations of Jonathan Wells are appearing on Starbucks coffee cups.

“Darwinism’s impact on traditional social values has not been as benign as its advocates would like us to believe. Despite the efforts of its modern defenders to distance themselves from its baleful social consequences, Darwinism’s connection with eugenics, abortion and racism is a matter of historical record, and the record is not pretty.”

Dr. Jonathan Wells,
biologist and author of The Politically Incorrect Guide to Darwinism and Intelligent Design

This is the second Discovery Institute CSC fellow to appear on a Starbucks Coffee cup. The first was Wesley Smith.

We need a cartoonist. How about a cartoon of Darwinists at Starbuck’s drinking coffee out of cups with quotes from Discovery Institute fellows?

JMP83: ID people got to get to work.
Most of the ID people sacrifice their time and money for the cause and could be doing something more profitable for their own lives. Some put their careers at risk. Unless you have something to offer, I suggest you keep your worthless advice to yourself. scordova
ID people got to get to work. JMP83
Yet another sign Darwinism is about to fall. And it will scald itself with hot coffee in the process. rrf
Good find, Sal. I found some other commentary on it around the web. This one was good. http://www.scriptoriumdaily.com/middlebrow/archives/coffee-and-darwinism/#more-423
When you think about it, it is kind of funny that Starbucks in its attempt to promote “good, healthy discussion” (and, of course, sell coffee) is more open to free inquiry, discussion and investigation than the scientific community.
Sal, What is the criteria for Starbucks using a quote? tribune7
