Every time I see one of these videos, it occurs to me that we are seeing even these operations in a greatly simplified form, and that a eukaryote is *insanely* more complex than we presently imagine; yet we are tasked with believing that it all came from materialistic processes.
Yep. It seems wildly improbable watching these videos, and they are highly simplified versions of what is going on. I do not have enough faith to be a materialist
The video on photosynthesis is amazing. Okay, so they all are. Well, it is more amazing than most.
And that is one of the advantages of presenting information in this way, i.e. that of presenting only those aspects of a function that needs to be comprehended and retained.
The accuracy of the depiction may be lacking in some cases, but if it conveys useful knowlege it passes muster. I regard it as a kind of ‘visual metaphor’.
