Atheism Defined (Just for Fun)

I don’t know the actual origination of this quote.  Its been on T-shirts and such.  If anyone knows the actual source, please let us know.  Meanwhile, enjoy! (Atheists: its okay to laugh at yourselves, too!)

ATHEISM: The belief that there was nothing & nothing happened to nothing & then nothing magically exploded for no reason, creating everything & then a bunch of everything magically rearranged itself for no reason what so ever into self-replicating bits which then turned into dinosaurs.

Makes Perfect Sense.

I'm Joe's minder, you know. The soul of civility, myself. Axel
Shades of that YouTube video clip of Dawkins looking bemused, not to say, stunned, as he was trying to fathom out why everyone was laughing, after he had asked some strange question about the characteristic qualities nothing might have - or some such. I was wondering what a specialist category of philosophy concerning the study of noting might be called. Nihilology, perhaps. No. Joe! Do NOT say, Jack Sh*t! Axel
Under all their fancy mechanisms and glorified processes, when you really dig down deep, this is the position they try defend. Fantastic quote, thanks. humbled
It was posted on a site called "The Friendly Atheist" some time ago. Amusingly enough, it's one of the definitions for atheism on the Urban Dictionary. Person #1: I'm a Catholic. Atheism: No. [insert Grumpy Cat pic here] And I found this: Atheist: "I am an advocate of atheism...science has never given us any reason to prove God exists...fear my superior intellect!" Not an atheist: "Well, scientists used to know that the sun revolved around the earth..but that wasn't true." Atheist: "Scientific heretic! Burn in the hell I don't believe in!" Barb
I think a certain professor of cosmological jurisprudence might have something to say about that... Axel
