Something they possibly wouldn’t have done if the US had a viable space program as opposed to airy fairy theories about the multiverse.

Note: They may have airy fairy theories too, but would not mistake them for actual achievements in astronomy and space science.

Is china really making her people wealthy of is she wanting the prestige of cool space things? China to me is still a third world nation relative to their population numbers. further this is a dictatorship. why should i cheer for such evil governments to do well and show the world one can be wealthy, if so, and do cool space stuff while being a historic tyranny. ? it sounds like the commies and the space race again. i don't wish them well as long as they are not a free people. They are a danger to free nations and philosophy. its a waste of time for them to aim at mars. its just pride. What could they pICK UP Yanks already didn't. So China would never have planned a trip to Mars if our space program was viable? What? Mars is the red planet and China is a red nation ;) I think it is a plus that other countries are developing their own space programs. Russia pushed us and we responded. Now China is pushing.
