Before Darwin, nearly everyone, in every corner of the world, believed in some type of ‘‘intelligent design,” and the majority still do. That is for good reasons. Since the publication of Origin of Species, science has discovered that living things are far more complex and clever than Darwin ever could have imagined. So how did it happen that the majority of our scientists “lost their minds” and are unable to see the design in living things that is so blindingly obvious to the layman?

In an age when objectivity is becoming science’s enemy in the United States and massive corruption is a norm in its former science competitor Russia, scientists can still make a virtue out of being true to Darwin. Wherever that lands them.

Axel - very little funding of evolutionary biology comes from corporations, it's almost all from governments. So I'm afraid your theory is wrong.Bob O'H

'Who pays the piper, calls the tune,' is the saying I believe. Is not most research, in academia and elsewhere, funded by the multinationals* at the discretion of their CEOs and Board ? They would not want their corporate 'ethic' constrainede by moral/religious considerations, still less, perhaps, their own personal life-styles. * I suspect that the term, 'large corporation' is preferred to 'multinational', which has such unfortunate overtones of zero loyalty to the country of its provenance or any other country.Axel

Interestingly, both murine and human HES7 proteins were degraded more slowly in human PSM as compared with mouse PSM (Fig. 3b, c; Supplementary Fig. 6a), meaning that the changes in the degradation rate depend on the differences not in the HES7 sequences but in the cellular environments
PavelU, you do realize that this finding is completely antithetical to your Darwinian belief that sequences in DNA 'run the show' in biology, (i.e. 'the central dogma'), do you not?bornagain77
