The governors are lifting statewide COVID mask mandates:

WASHINGTON — President Joe Biden criticized the decisions in Texas and Mississippi to roll back statewide mask mandates and other Covid-19 health guidelines as “Neanderthal thinking.”

“I think it’s a big mistake. Look, I hope everybody realizes by now that masks make a big difference. We are on the cusp of being able to fundamentally change the nature of this disease because the way in which we are able to get vaccines,” Biden told reporters.

“The last thing we need is the Neanderthal thinking that, in the meantime, everything is fine, take off our mask, forget it,” he added.

How does Joe Biden have any idea what Neanderthals would have thought about the face diapers and the disastrous government-driven COVID crazy in general?

How about New York governor Cuomo packing nursing homes with COVID patients, which resulted in thousands of deaths? Now that we have channelled Neanderthal man anyway, does he have an opinion on that?

Speaking as someone with a greater than average percentage of Neanderthal genes, yer news hack (O’Leary for News) feels she should ask, why is Neanderthal man always dragged in as the Stupid one, when so many of our contemporaries would do just fine?

“It is critical, critical, critical that they follow the science,” Biden said of the governors.

Well, okay. About masks (discussed in the clip), science authorities are all over the map. Yes. No. Maybe.

So: If Texas and Mississippi see no huge spike in COVID deaths, does that mean Neanderthal man is smarter than we thought? That others are dumber? Maybe it’s not a smart move to bring him up.

To judge from where yer news hack lives, on Vancouver Island, wearing masks outdoors in the wind and rain is mostly a superstition. It measures the level of personal anxiety of the wearer. It’s not really about science at all.
