Here.

In all, Rodriguez found that separately removing seven different “gears” from a distant part of the molecule each caused the amino acid to bind more tightly to the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase. Perona explained that this provides the first systematic analysis demonstrating long-range communication in an enzyme that depends on RNA for its function.”So what we think is going on is that these enzyme-RNA interactions far from the amino acid binding site evolved together with the needs of the cell to respond to subtle cues from its environment — especially in terms of how much amino acid is available,” said Perona. “It makes sense in terms of evolution.

– Glimpse of How the ‘Code’ of Life May Have Emerged, ScienceDaily (Mar. 24, 2011)

Well, anything can make sense in terms of evolution, because it is a directionless story, festooned with “may haves”.

Friend Jonathan kindly writes,

I loved what Nick Lane had to say in Life Ascending — The Ten Great Inventions of Evolution:Short of positing celestial design, the only way to explain optimization is via the workings of selection. If so, the code of life must have evolved.

Look, I just report the news here on the May Have desk. With luck, the way this file is going, I will eventually be promoted to Could Have Central.

Excuse me, must mop up after cup runneth over.

Pachyaena you ask; 'do you know how the “code of life” emerged, and will you explain and produce the verifiable evidence, without including any may haves?' Well Pachyaena, as I pointed out in post one, one thing we can be certain of is that the origination of the code cannot possibly be reduced to a materialistic basis since it is beyond the capability of material particles to explain quantum entanglement in the first place; i.e. the cause for an effect that defies time and space, as quantum entanglement certainly does, must itself be beyond time and space!bornagain77

Actually this evidence, despite the researchers thoughts to the contrary, provides further evidence that quantum information resides in protein structures. Quantum Information/Entanglement that is not reducible to the materialistic framework of neo-Darwinism in the first place! Quantum Information/Entanglement In DNA & Protein Folding – ‘Gretchen’ – short video http://www.metacafe.com/watch/5936605/ At the end of the video, 'Gretchen' asked if the quantum information going into proteins could somehow be measured by disturbing the information, she said that if proteins folded/reacted differently in a way that could not be explained by the classical information then you would have good indication that 'quantum information matters'. And lo and behold, confirm her postulation is exactly what they did in this experiment: Scientists get glimpse of how the ‘code’ of life may have emerged – March 2011 Excerpt: Rodriguez discovered that when she made these changes to the enzyme, the binding of the amino acid to the protein was strengthened, even though the amino acid binds far away from the positions where the changes were made. “It is totally counterintuitive,” ,,, In all, Rodriguez found that separately removing seven different “gears” from a distant part of the molecule each caused the amino acid to bind more tightly to the aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase. Perona explained that this provides the first systematic analysis demonstrating long-range communication in an enzyme that depends on RNA for its function. http://www.physorg.com/news/2011-03-scientists-glimpse-code-life-emerged.html Further confirmation that quantum information/entanglement is in entire protein structures is found here (though once again the researchers do not realize the full implications of their work): Proteins with cruise control provide new perspective: “A mathematical analysis of the experiments showed that the proteins themselves acted to correct any imbalance imposed on them through artificial mutations and restored the chain to working order. http://www.princeton.edu/main/news/archive/S22/60/95O56/ And once again I point out that quantum entanglement/information cannot be reduced to the materialistic framework of neo-Darwinism: https://uncommondescent.com/intelligent-design/we-welcome-honest-exchanges-here/#comment-374898bornagain77
