Read the following and then read why it matters to you:

From Ed Morrisey at HotAir:

The video shows top Planned Parenthood staffers attending meetings of the National Abortion Federation in 2014 and 2015 and it is the latest in a series of over a dozen videos from the organization showing the Planned Parenthood abortion business and others engaging in potentially illegal sale of body parts of aborted babies.

The new undercover video shows Planned Parenthood executives and other top abortion advocates making shocking comments about abortions.

Several attendees made jokes about eyeballs from aborted babies and other aborted baby body parts “rolling down into their laps.”More.

Look, it is probably true. It was true forty years ago but traditional media snuffed the story.

Why it matters to you, Cool Person: With friendly legislation, governments can force doctors to go along.

From Wesley J. Smith at Evolution News & Views:

Ontario, Canada, has passed a law formally legalizing lethal injection euthanasia. And it will force all provincial doctors to be complicit by either doing the deed themselves to all legally qualified patients who request to be killed, or by tasking them with procuring a death doctor.

From the website of the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care (my emphasis):

In Ontario, health regulatory colleges are responsible for regulating their respective professions in the public interest. In doing so, colleges may establish policies and standards that their members must comply with, including policies and standards regarding medical assistance in dying.

The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario requires that when physicians are unwilling to provide certain elements of care for reasons of conscience or religion, an effective referral to another health-care provider must be provided to the patient. An effective referral means “a referral made in good faith, to a non-objecting, available, and accessible physician, other health-care professional, or agency”.

Think about this. Three years ago, it would have been a felony for doctors to kill patients, potentially landing them in prison.

Now, refusing to participate in homicide could cost them their medical licenses.More.

Yes, it is true. It will be hard to find a doctor in Ontario who will not gladly refer you for death. And one can hardly even talk about it now here.

Maybe free public health care plays a role.

Western nations are old and rich and our health care systems are badly underfunded. Pensions are unrealistic in a needy world.

Look, anywhere there is legal euthanasia, we are all “the fetus” now. At least, if you vote for any party that supports this, you maybe did it to yourself. Everybody is “the fetus” wherever there is rampant government when humans are not special

For your own sake, always vote against anyone who is for your death, no matter what else they pretend.

Talk of the end of life becoming "intollerable" under proper pallative care, and that medically-assisted suicide is therefore needed, is beyond ridiculous.jstanley01

Sev, part of the lesson is just how slippery "voluntary" is and what "mercy" means. The issue is devaluation of life and the imperceptible rise of the idea of life unworthy of being lived. In that regard, ponder carefully the implications of your use of the word "dispose," and your claimed entailment . . . which is in fact anything but. KFkairosfocus

I believe most of us are aware of the lessons from history. One of them was that there was nothing voluntary about what happened to the victims of the Holocaust. It hardly needs to be said that their consent would not have been granted if it had been sought but, unsurprisingly, it was not even sought. Looking at the Canadian legislation, it looks as if the consent of the patient is central to the policy, that it must be obtained repeatedly and the patient must be judged mentally competent to give it. Those not competent to give their informed consent are not eligible for medically-assisted death, which is as it should be. Any change to that position should be resisted. Let's not ignore the fact that the right to life entails a right to dispose of that life as the individual chooses, even to the point of ending it if it has become intolerable.Seversky

Seversky, I don't think you even want to know the history of the argument and where it goes; esp. given the issues being exposed in the OP, the onward links and the now censored videos that tell the ugly story about real slippery slopes for our souls. I should note that pain management is-- and has long been -- at a level that the appeal to pain is questionable. Koop and Schaeffer in Whatever Happened to the Human Race, are proving to be all too dead on target. It is time for our civilisation to step back from the brink. And if we cannot learn from what happened in Germany (and it is interesting what is apparently NOT in the electronic media about that history -- better go read some good but neglected books . . . ), that is itself a big warning flag. No one is recommending killing people against their will. But if a patient is losing the battle against a terminal illness for which there is no effective treatment, if that patient is in agony but medical science has exhausted all available remedies for pain, then what purpose is served by prolonging that needless suffering? If that patient decides of their own free will that there is no hope and the time has come to end their life, why shouldn't they do so and why shouldn't they be assisted in carrying out that wish?Seversky

Contrast the lock-down on this with what the same mainstream media are trumpeting and spinning day by day. Then, understand where we are:
Isa 5:18 Woe (judgment is coming) to those who drag along wickedness with cords of falsehood, And sin as if with cart ropes [towing their own punishment]; 19 Who say, “Let Him move speedily, let Him expedite His work [His promised vengeance], so that we may see it; And let the purpose of the Holy One of Israel approach And come to pass, so that we may know it!” 20 Woe (judgment is coming) to those who call evil good, and good evil; Who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness; Who substitute bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter! 21 Woe (judgment is coming) to those who are wise in their own eyes And clever and shrewd in their own sight!
