One reason why many people find Creative Evolution so attractive is that it gives one much of the emotional comfort of believing in God and none of the less pleasant consequences. More.
Some of us think that that explains Christian Darwinism, actually.
Not curiosity about evolution as such, like you might find here at Uncommon Descent, where we regularly cover a number of mechanisms of evolution. But the need to accommodate Christians to a world governed by the growing conflict between new atheists and Islamic terror, with Christians as targets of both sides.
Clearly, the Christian Darwinists think the new atheists will win. Thoughts?
Otherwise, why BioLogos* anyway?
* Not to be confused with Biologic Institute, which actually researches mechanisms of evolution.

We say, when it comes to the facts and mechanisms of evolution, please, more science (Biologic Institute) and less religion (BioLogos).
