Hey, Snopes! Fact check this!:
WORLD—Hitler has been vindicated of all his horrific wrongdoings after several historians discovered he simply borrowed most of his ideas from the celebrated scientist Charles Darwin. p1 “Wow– we had no idea!” said Dr. Samuel Müller, a biology professor at Harvard. “As it turns out, Hitler was just following the scientific consensus around eugenics that was shared by every respected scientific institution at the time! He was just following the science! What a great guy!”
“Hitler Vindicated After Historians Discover His Ideas Came From Darwin” at Babylon Bee
Free digital booklet available: Darwin’s Three Big Ideas that Impacted Humanity, that explores how three key ideas from Charles Darwin undermined morality, religion, medicine, the criminal justice system, and the value of human life by John G. West
See also: At Snopes: Creationism “bears all the hallmarks of a conspiracy theory” Curiously, Snopes admits, regarding the piece from The Conversation, “This content is shared here because the topic may interest Snopes readers; it does not, however, represent the work of Snopes fact-checkers or editors.” So… they can get away with publishing this kind of thing because they did not check it out? That is further evidence that Snopes is going downhill fast as a rumor squelching site.
At least the Bee is upfront about its position
As for Snopes
That’s a bit like the crumbling of the Darwinian edifice, in other words, not really.
Babylon be is a satire site sir and what makes satire funny is the hint of truth behind it *cough* *cough* like above *cough* *cough*
And just because something isn’t shutting down doesn’t mean it’s not going downhill. I got fact checked for “people getting in trouble during the lockdown for crowding the beach is of Arizona”
I live in Arizona and it is a long running joke about wanting beachfront property for years
But hey reputable places like Snopes need to let me know that that’s not true…………………..
And I’m being serious, they fact check me on that, Arizona has no beaches, maybe some crappy lake beaches, but we have no beaches and it was a picture of a Florida beach
It might be popular but they are trash
Earth to seversky: No one uses evolution by means of blind and mindless processes for anything. It is a useless heuristic. So it isn’t that the edifice has crumbled. It is that the edifice is imaginary.
Seversky, since you are obviously denying that Hitler “borrowed most of his ideas from the celebrated scientist Charles Darwin.”, what do you make of these two quotes?
MOST of Hitler’s ideas were about economics and social organization. And of course Fascist (Nationalist) Socialism was about Socialism in a single nation-state, as defined by Mussolini (READ Mussolini’s writing. READ Hitler’s writing.) Mussolini had the same general view of non-Italians in ANY of the territory that Italy controlled after 1919: Slavs were to be expelled and replaced by genuine Italian colonists. The Poles had a VERY similar view, and even in chunks of what Versailles had declared to be “Polish” had been inhabited by German majorities for CENTURIES. The Free City of Danzig had ALWAYS been a GERMAN city, and had a 99% German population in 1939. Saying that Germany would stand up for ethnic Germans throughout Europe is not an especially evil political position.

The difference between “is” (Darwin) and “ought” (Hitler).
Now contrast that quote from Hitler with these from Darwin:
Seversky, and please pray tell, how does one possibly acquire ‘a noblest part of our nature’ In a world where morality does not even exist? In a world of “no evil, no good, nothing but pitiless indifference.”
Seversky, despite your seemingly endless ability to completely ignore what your Darwinian worldview actually entails, morally noble altruistic behavior of any sort is simply completely antithetical to the entire ‘survival of the fittest’ framework that undergirds Darwinian theory.
