Been at it eight years:

“I have been sitting here watching the open landscape since 2011 when Minecraft first came out,” Bassett told reporters. But critics say that evolutionary theory claims that it takes billions of years for worlds to magically create themselves. When confronted with this question, Bassett adjusted his fedora and explained, “Minecraft starts out further along than our universe did. It has all the essential building blocks, plus a lot of other blocks.” Bassett also cites math to justify his experiment. “Let me drop some math on you. A Minecraft day is 20 minutes long. That means one Minecraft year is 72 Earth years. By the end of 2019, I’ll have reached nearly 576 years of Minecraft time.” “Devout Atheist Playing ‘Minecraft’ Patiently Waits For Complex Structures To Build Themselves” at Babylon Bee

He has a great future in evolutionary biology today.

Soooooooooooo satire or not this is actually something that really does happen and I’m not joking about this. While getting my bachelors at ASU back in 2014, one of the teachers, in art education, she also had tenure, went on sabbatical and received a grant to teach “second life“ in China. She believes that second life can be drawn as a direct parallel to real life, it teaches art and skills that help people live in the real world. Satire or not, this is literally the sort of crap that receives grant money and praise nowadays.AaronS1978

News, Babylon Bee is a satirical site, so maybe the atheist is a caricature, but things are really bad when it is hard to tell. Anyway, nothing properly is non-being. Not matter, energy, space, time, information, mind. If ever utter non-being was the case -- and just to state that is problematic -- as non being has no causal capacity, such would forever obtain. As a world is, something always was. The dispute is, what. KF PS: The lead-up to your clip is amusing:
Myron Bassett, a thirty-seven-year-old devout atheist, says he has been playing the same continuous game of Minecraft for eight years. While this in itself may not be unique among Minecraft enthusiasts, Bassett says that unlike other players, he has chosen to take a completely atheistic approach to the world-building adventure game: he waits for all complex structures and buildings to simply assemble themselves out of nothing. It has all the essential building blocks, plus a lot of other blocks.”
