Brent, I don't necessarily think KF's suggestions (especially #250) are over the top---my question is whether they would actually do more good than harm, and most importantly, how he knows that. I suspect if I (with no training) designed a "hardened" security plan for some facility, there's a good chance it would actually be less safe due to accidents and lack of coordination. And yes, if we can be more specific about what measures would be required in certain situations (e.g., shopping malls, movie theaters, etc), that would be helpful.daveS

I'm not at all sure this is feasible in the USA. Let's investigate that. How many civilian marshals would be required to ensure 10-second response times in Los Angeles?daveS

I think gun control, now, is likely to be far too late - even assault weapons, farcical as that would sound in the context of any other country, might be needed by the sane and law-abiding Americans. Who knows? The villainy occurred when the gun manufacturers and their lobby decided to exploit the, at best, very juvenile romance of the Wild West, which so many adult, yes, adult Americans seem to feel is very much part of their personal, national heritage. Well, maybe that mindset will finally be satisfied. Who knows ? There's not much I like Better than a Sergio Leone Spaghetti Western - that's as far as my enema for infantilism extends. Wildly improbable sharp-shooting by the heroes in a quasi apocalyptic setting - and very difficult to know who are worse villains, the 'official' ones or the respectable townsfolk !Axel

F/N: Let me clip Lind, October 2004:
In Fourth Genera- tion war, the state loses its monopoly on war. All over the world, state militaries find themselves fighting nonstate opponents such as al-Qaeda, Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia. Almost everywhere, the state is losing. Fourth Generation war is also marked by a re- turn to a world of cultures, not merely states, in con- flict. We now find ourselves facing the Christian West’s oldest and most steadfast opponent, Islam. After about three centuries on the strategic defen- sive, following the failure of the second Turkish siege of Vienna in 1683, Islam has resumed the strategic offensive expanding outward in every direction. In Fourth Generation war, invasion by immigration can be at least as dangerous as invasion by a state army. Nor is Fourth Generation war merely something we import, as we did on 9/11. At its core lies a uni- versal crisis of legitimacy of the state, and that cri- sis means many countries will evolve Fourth Gen- eration war on their soil. America, with a closed political system (regardless of which party wins, the Establishment remains in power and nothing really changes) and a poisonous ideology of multicul- turalism, is a prime candidate for the homegrown variety of Fourth Generation war, which is by far the most dangerous kind.

Brent, I long since said sliding scale, and it is obvious that responses depend on risk assessment; one must assume basic common sense. And it appears there is a head in sand mentality. Did you see the clip from a partial translation of Khameni's book at 408 above? That's the chief leader of the leading state sponsor of terrorism that has just been exposed as deceitful over nuke developments, which has an effective green light on such and has US$150 bn just handed to it. And, as chief Ayatollah in Iran and successor to Khomeni, he is an expert on Islam. KF PS: Brent, don't forget the secured comms network with a very secure main node with ability to call in the police. A solidly locked, easily barred solid wood door -- yes the old fashioned 3 x 6 across the door -- is the bare minimum. PPS: Lind on 4th Gen war, notice he reports that copies of his original paper were recovered from caves in Tora Bora, Afghanistan in 2001.kairosfocus

daveS, I didn't take either #185 or #250 over the top. Especially #250. @ #185 I take it that these measures are implemented in accordance with a risk analysis. Clearly not all of those suggestions are required for all venues. What is being lost in this whole discussion is the fact that if the general public's delusions continue, more and more of suggested measures will be more and more widely necessary. If we are honest about what we are up against now, there is still hope of not turning America and some other countries into virtual military states. I assume you took KF's suggestions to be of a more sweeping nature. I didn't. I think we can avoid doing half of that if we get our act together now, but I am not optimistic about that happening. As for @ #250, I think it is very easily accomplished, and again, in accordance with risk assessment. Probably not all of that is necessary. A big point for me, however, is to at least have one person armed (and if only one, make very sure they have a very safe and advantageous position) if there is even a slight risk factor at any location. That, along with common sense access control, would help tremendously. But, no matter what the suggestion may be, it will sound outrageous to one who is not convinced of the war we are in. There is always going to be a fundamental disconnect until there can be agreement about the dire circumstances we are facing.Brent

DS & GE, again, the logic of the case you refuse to answer to is revealing. Kindly explain how a soft target is able to harden itself in the face of needing to respond in 10 s when SWAT teams are 10 - 30+ minutes out? ANS: You need a good enough team right there. We are also dealing with a huge range of targets, per the experiences of the past 30 years. The only effective response is the nation in arms, Swiss style approach that is adapted to the needs of small units able to "go" on a moment's notice. With of course the emphasis being on securing the entrance points and canalising. Given Beslan and Bataclan, large assembly areas need another layer, so that if terrs get through they can be taken down quickly from multiple, separated points with accurate shooting. Where, they may be n body armour. That is why I pointed to PDWs and the Tavor bullpup in 6.5 mm Grendel configured for fairly close in shooting. I also pointed to the need for reasonable protection of shooting points. None of this is hard to figure out, though some home work needs to be done. Now, do I imagine that progressivism indoctrinated legislators, lawyers, media voices, top level law enforcement officials etc will approve of such a solution? No. Look, in a day when infantry are being re-armoured [last era ended, what, C17) and are too often carrying upwards of 100lb, politically correct agendas are pretending that Women can be integrated into all combat roles. The recent Ranger course stunt speaks volumes. We need not deal with the unit cohesion issues, issue of rape on captivity (notice the fate of non-combatant Yazidi women and girls down to it looks like 6 - 7 years) and almost impossible to resist self-sacrificing protective instinct of decent men for women. The responsiveness to reality of the senior levels in security and policy circles is an open question. The consistent trend to argue for confiscation of guns or precursors to that, when often that would be tangential or irrelevant speaks volumes. (But then when Mr Trump spoke of no go zones UK, the top level officials denied such and dismissed Mr Trump -- and no this is nowhere near endorsing him or his general views. Then someone checked with street level officers. Trump is right, there are no go areas in Londonistan and Birminghamistan etc. That already tells us much about the reality gap in the UK where a soldier was butchered on the street near his base because he was completely unarmed.) My intent was to lay out an alternative with realistic potential to actually achieve an effective solution to target hardening. And we know from Garland Texas and from Israeli Schools etc -- not to mention the Canadian Parliament, that it can work. Has worked. For that matter, barrier fortifications can work and have worked. The Israelis were decried for building fences and (in zones where sniping has occurred) walls, but they did canalise access points and have choked off various types of attack. So, how do I "know" stuff. One hint is that there is something out there called history that was paid for in blood and tears. Where, those who ignore or refuse its lessons doom themselves to the same price over and over again. Similarly, as noted -- GE you thought you were outing, belittling, shaming and dismissing [no, I have not forgotten your tactics], I have lived through a largely urban low level insurgency (1200 dead is a serious estimate for the unofficial civil war) based on ideological polarisation and involving a lot of small unit attacks. Not to mention, garrisoned no go zone enclaves. As recently as 2009, one of these [by then deeply involved with drugs trade gangsterism] had to be reduced when the police were barricaded out, by backed up military assault, with it seems a US Marine Corps unit over the Horizon. Which turned out to be as the whispered reports over many years had said -- warlordism and an illegal microstate. After taking it and cleaning it out, enhanced police presence was instituted and other zone leaders were summoned, coming in like lambs when they saw what happened. Multiply by various forms of research linked to the 4th Gen War type insurgency Islamism is pushing. Beyond that, the very fact that you demand to know things that you ought not in public, online in a context of known hostile online monitoring and on the ground stalking of family (I guess you likely were not told about that part in the penumbra of attack sites), and it is obvious that at best your rhetoric is gravely ill advised. You demand about what is none of your business, which you full well must know, and would be best advised to back off. On the training issue, your circle started by distorting basic infantry skills training incidental to hunting [and BTW, some have noted on this very point] into claims about being equivalent to Basic Training and assertions about ill trained armed patrols on the streets. That was a strawman distortion, corrected. Reference to the Swiss model, alone, should have been enough to show that something else is in view. On the substantial issue, I have also provided background information, and have laid out in outline on the geostrategic challenge. Neither you nor any other objectors have shown the slightest interest in seriously addressing that. I took time to point out peculiarities of the American situation that make a gun confiscation campaign most ill advised. The last thing on that was pretence that this is not what is on the table based on waving the bloody flag and pretending that a totally disarmed law abiding public would stop problems with criminals in an era of massive drugs trading. And with the Paris attacks on the table demonstrating what terrs with AKs can do in a disarmed society. The dismissiveness of terrorism as a real threat was also quite evident. So it is clear that the reality is, a realistic solution does not fit the progrssivist narrative and so every attempt is made to distract, distort, denigrate and polarise rather than cogently address. Oh yes, we cannot but note that captured documents on the table have been studiously ignored. That speaks volumes. KFkairosfocus

Brent, Take another look at the 18 specific suggestions KF makes in post #185, and then #250, where he sizes up the security requirements for a medium-sized church. Also consider that he just "knows" that civilian marshals in the Swiss tradition are right for the US, and those of us who have reservations are mere enablers of terrorism. Presumably he's already completed a risk-benefit analysis. I think it's fair to ask how he knows all this.daveS

George Edwards @401,
KF: “a red herring is readily led away to a strawman soaked in ad hominems and set alight to cloud, confuse, poison and polarise the atmosphere here or in the penumbra of attack sites. (Which inter alia taints a web search for the topic. That too is part of the message dominance agenda.)” When you start your comment with this nonsense, it is obvious that you do not want any serious discussion about this issue if it disagrees with you. I have mentioned several objections to your civilian marshal idea a d your response is to 1) ignore it, 2) call me names or 3) “Paris”. I asked you a serious question that you studiously ignored. What do North American police, armed forces and government authorities think of your idea? I think that we both know the answer to this. Don’t you think that they might be more knowledgeable than you (and I) on the issue of protecting citizens?
George, I'm much more sympathetic to your grievance than it is going to sound, but . . . As I recall, you didn't ask quite what you are now saying you asked. What you had asked was whether KF had shared his ideas with either local or U.S. authorities. Now, as with daveS, I have to wonder just what the point is. It is common knowledge that someone outside the loop on security or any other issues will only be seen as crackpots who attempt to share their ideas of policy or practice with the relevant people already in the loop. That, however, speaks exactly zero as to whether any particular idea is good or not. Your attempt to ask KF whether he had or not, therefore, in my opinion, could only be seen as an attempt to embarrass KF. And, frankly, I think the same of daveS' question. I believe that your (and others' here) basic philosophy and debate style, (often at least) unintentionally, put you in the position of doing exactly what KF says you are doing. There is a divide and conquer approach that attempts to embarrass and shame people. Often the most "powerful" argument of liberals is the "eye-roll" argument. As soon as a liberal ridicules an idea that is outside the liberal approved arena, all other liberals line up and join in gleefully. So the poster with the unapproved idea is effectively shouted down and no one even had to offer an actual argument to "defeat" the idea. Pretty convenient I must admit. We need to look no further for examples. Those citing gun violence/rights as the overall problem for protecting Americans were shown statistics that didn't reflect their assertions, but there was no attempt on their part at answering that. Though there were also some attempts to deal with KF's ideas head on in regards to practicality, whether fiscal or logistical, the main "arguments" from the detractors became questions intended to embarrass, and simple drum beating of "gun violence"/gun control, even though no one wanted to deal with the statistics on any of that which show they are wrong. KF has a good reason to say what he has about red herrings and where they tend to go.Brent

daveS @413, Oh, come on. Policy makers in most western countries have probably never even touched a gun. Perhaps it is pertinent if you are to take specific suggestions as the only way to implement the general idea, but of course that isn't necessary. The general idea is either valid or not, or more accurately in my opinion, vital or not. I'm stuck on "vital" myself.Brent

KF, you calling something a red herring doesn't make it so. I have repeatedly asked a very simple question. Which you have repeatedly refused to answer. As you have refused to answer DaveS'. Both questions very relevant if you have any hope of getting the US to adopt the civillian marshal idea. That also speaks volumes. Let's try again. 1) What do the police, armed forces and authorities in the US think about your idea of civilian marshals? 2) How many civilian marshals (FTEs) would be necessary for a city the size of LA? Once we address these two questions, we can start discussing feasibility.George Edwards

GE, If the above is not enough, that speaks volumes. Israelis a leading target for terror and this is its response. Switzerland is a leading economy and it obviously is able to sustain that level of defence investment and expenditure. As to the US, consider that in 7 years 100 mn firearms have been purchased, with it looks like 185,000 on just the day after Thanksgiving last; that is a reasonable reference point. That suggests in turn that we are seeing yet more red herrings relative to the fundamental point. Again, what is going to be able to respond in 10 s when police SWAT teams are 10 - 30+mins out, and meanwhile the reality of the Islamist threat is studiously ignored by too many. KFkairosfocus

PPS: More, from Wiki, on how a serious nation goes about its common defence:
After World War II, Switzerland began building homes with 40 cm-thick concrete ceilings that might survive firebombing of the type that destroyed Hamburg and Dresden. In the 1960s they began constructing radiation and blast shelters that could survive one to three bars of pressure from a nuclear explosion.[36] Building codes require blast shelters, which are said to be able to accommodate 114% of the Swiss population.[37] Small towns have large underground parking garages that can serve as sealed community shelters.[36] There are also hospitals and command centres in such shelters, aimed at keeping the country running in case of emergencies. Every family or rental agency has to pay a replacement tax to support these shelters, or alternatively own a personal shelter in their place of residence;[38] many private shelters serve as wine cellars and closets.[36] Camouflaged cannons and fortifications near Furka Pass in the Gotthard region Thousands of tunnels, highways, railroads, and bridges are built with tank traps and primed with demolition charges to be used against invading forces; often, the civilian engineer who designed the bridge plans the demolition as a military officer. Hidden guns are aimed to prevent enemy forces from attempting to rebuild.[12] Permanent fortifications were established in the Alps, as bases from which to retake the fertile valleys after a potential invasion. They include underground air bases that are adjacent to normal runways; the aircraft, crew and supporting material are housed in the caverns. However, a significant part of these fortifications was dismantled between the 1980s and during the "Army 95" reformation. The most important fortifications are located at Saint-Maurice, Gotthard Pass area and Sargans. The fortification on the left side of the Rhône at Saint-Maurice is no longer used by the army since the beginning of the 1990s. The right side (Savatan) is still in use. During the Cold War the military expected that any invasion would likely come from the northeast, as the Soviet Union associated the country with NATO despite its stated neutrality.[12] The Swiss government thought that the aim of an invasion would be to control the economically important transport routes through the Swiss Alps, namely the Gotthard, the Simplon and Great St. Bernard passes, because Switzerland does not possess any significant natural resources. Weapons marked in bold are considered personal equipment of the soldier, who is responsible for their well-functioning and must keep them at home until the end of the military service (unless living near an external border of Switzerland).[39] Between brackets is the number of such weapons in personal equipment as of 31 January 2009.[40] Swiss Army knives are also issued, but are not considered weapons. Individual weapons Sturmgewehr 90 assault rifle (200,000) Sturmgewehr 57 battle rifle (2,000) Pistole 75 semi-automatic pistol (30,000) Pistole 49 semi-automatic pistol (1,000) Pistole 03 semi-automatic pistol (Military Police) Glock semi-automatic pistol (Swiss Grenadiers, ARD 10, FSK-17) FN Minimi Heckler & Koch MP5 submachinegun Brügger & Thomet MP9 machine pistol Tuma MTE 224 VA machine pistol Remington 870 multipurpose shotgun (known as Mehrzweckgewehr 91) Sako TRG-42 8.6 mm anti-personnel sniper rifle (Scharfschützengewehr 04) PGM Hecate II 12.7 mm anti-materiel heavy sniper rifle (Präzisionsgewehr 04) Crew served weapons MG51 machine gun MG 710 machine gun / MG55 (still stocked, but neither trained on nor used in rep courses; same as MG3) Other weapons Gewehraufsatz 97 40mm grenade launcher (mounted under "Sturmgewehr 90" assault rifle for grenadiers and fusiliers) HG 85 hand grenade Panzerfaust 3 shoulder-launched recoilless anti-tank weapon M47 Dragon anti-tank guided rocket (being phased out without replacement due to cost-intensive maintenance)

KF, I didn't ask what the Swiss or Israeli authorities think, I asked what the authorities you are recommending this to think. In short, the US and Europe. We both no that the police, armed forces and authorities in the US would be adamantly opposed to the idea. And for very valid reasons. What may work in Swtzerland, which has not had any serious security concerns in many decades (and not because of civilian marshals), or Israel, which has a very unique situation, will not work in the US. You cautioned me against comparing apples and oranges with respect to the US and Canada, which have far more in common than the US and either of the other two countries, yet you insist that we can do so with your proposal. You've received many responses already. But I'll play along: Can you give us an estimate of the cost of such a program, nationwide? Or, more modestly, how many marshals would be required to protect a city the size of Los Angeles? GE and DS, here we go again. And GE if you looked at the Sweden case as linked you might be surprised to see what police leaders are recommending in a deteriorating situation. The Israelis, as deeply experienced gave their answer many years ago, e.g. teachers at school have been armed, after a wave of gun attacks by terrorists in the 70s IIRC; such attacks dried up. If my explicit repeated reference to the Swiss model does not tell you that significant training, organisation and discipline would be involved (e.g. think about armed security guards) then it is obvious that there is a problem of unresponsiveness to relevant information I provided. Lastly, the logic of needing an effective response in 10 s when police SWAT teams are 10 - 30 mins out speaks for itself. KF PS: I add from Index Mundi, as a brief indicator (obviously to be modified to particular reasonable circumstances):
Military service age and obligation: 19-26 years of age for male compulsory military service; 18 years of age for voluntary male and female military service; every Swiss male has to serve at least 260 days in the armed forces; conscripts receive 18 weeks of mandatory training, followed by seven 3-week intermittent recalls for training during the next 10 years (2012) Definition: This entry gives the required ages for voluntary or conscript military service and the length of service obligation. I would like to ask you why it is pertinent to the discussion as to whether KF has ever fired a gun.
Not in and of itself. Training and practical experience? Definitely pertinent, IMO. That's what I asked about in the first of that string of posts. When I got no answer, I simplified the question, asking merely if he had ever fired a gun, in hopes of getting some sort of response (to no avail, unfortunately).daveS

KF: "GE, the turnabout projection tactic, fails. We all know what repeatedly happened above. KF" Yes. You avoided/evaded my question. Why are you so afraid to answer it? Here, I will repeat it for you in case you have forgotten it. What is the opinion of the police, armed forces and governments of the countries that you want to introduce civilian marshals in? It is a simple question. And we both know the answer. With regard to the LA school closures, this is exactly what I was cautioning against. This was almost certainly the result of a sick school kid prank. LA over-reacted and New York took the rational approach. They examined the email and quickly realized that it was a prank. Let's face it, a true jihadist may spell every word in the English language wrong, but they sure as hell are going to spell Allah with a capital A. KF: "there is a definite problem as noted with the resort to rhetoric of distraction, distortion and denigration." I agree. And I wish that you would stop it. But since this is your thread, I accept that you have the right to continue as you have. :) "On the substantial matter it is clear that only something that mobilises citizens already there in a responsible way can meet the need for response in seconds when police SWAT teams are 10 – 30+ minutes away." So, what you are saying is that the opinion of the police, armed forces, and governments of the countries in which you want to set up a civilian marshal system are of no importance. Or have you forgotten my question? Again.George Edwards

F/N: Khameni of Iran's book on how to destroy Israel and the USA: http://irantruth.org/exclusive-first-translation-of-khameinis-new-book-on-the-destruction-of-america-israel/ Remember, this is the principal leader of Iran, which is the main sponsor of Islamist terrorism, is at Nuke threshold and is currently recreating the Persian empire. Quick clips:
Mohammd Hasan Ibn Mohammad Ibrahim Gilani, one of these scholars, who in his own time had experienced an issue of occupation, as the Israeli-Palestine issue, emphasizes Jihad as a mandatory Islamic duty on Muslims’ shoulders. He states, “If the people of darkness and blasphemy attack Muslims’ lands and try to establish a non-Islamic political system in that land [--> any land captured by muslims is deemed permanently muslim and any non Islamic polity is deemed a target: Israel, Spain, Sicily, Much of E Europe, Africa per claims the Africans were Muslim, and of course the Caribbeabn, Brazil etc] , jihad becomes a compulsory religious duty for all Muslims who are able to use a weapon. Sheikh Mohammad Reza Hamedani, who lived in 19th century, in his book, Trqib Ul Musliemin Ela Difa Ul Moshrekin [Encouraging Muslims to resist non-Muslims] expressly writes, “ The purpose of jihad is to preserve the seed of Islam and granting Islam prosperity and superiority. Until reaching that goal, the duty of jihad is compulsory.” [--> indirect but Jihad is a primary duty until the world is conquered] . . . . Regarding selling Palestine land to Jews and its Islamic ruling about these types of transactions, Kashif al Quta states, “Don’t you even realize that selling land to the Jews in general and being involved in the transaction as agents or the like is tantamount to fighting against Allah and his prophet and destroying the religion of Islam? Those who participate in such transaction are out of the religion and consequently infidels. Do not do business with those who are involved in such transactions. Do not marry them. When they die, do not let them to be buried in Muslims’ cemeteries. You should make a list of apostates, mention their names in there, and publicize it.” [Note: Being recognized apostate allows Muslim to kill the person, make his wives and children slave, and appropriate his property.] . . . . In the 1960s, Imam Khomeini started his transparent and relentless movement, which played a pivotal role in the realm of politics and the establishment of a new wave called “Islamic Awakening.” Islamic awakening in Iran and in the Islamic world aimed to first topple the Pahlavi regime and replace it with an Islamic republic system and second, to wage Jihad in the region against Zionism in an effort to emancipate Palestine. Globally, the movement is going to confront the United States as the symbol of injustice. In one sentence, Imam Khomeini’s purpose of struggle is to emancipate Iran and the Islamic world from the superpowers’ bondage, restore honor to Islam, and establish an Islamic government based on Islamic principles. With persistence and honesty, Imam Khomeini raised the flag of the emancipation of Quds and Palestine. The chain of resistance against Zionists is currently more evolved. Today, the resistance line starts from Iran and covers Iraq, Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Gaza, West Bank, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, Algeria, Sudan, Yemen, Bahrain, Pakistan, and Afghanistan. This new wave of Islamic awakening, which was initiated by Imam Khomeini, is now stronger than ever. Cutting the hand of the United States from Islamic countries, establishing Islamic government and restoring Islamic values, and emancipating the whole of Palestine are our objectives . . . . For us, [the liberation of Jerusalem] Quds and Palestine are very significant and splendid issues. Today [Quds Day] is when all the oppressed people armed with the spirit of faith and reliance on Allah would break the back of all unjust superpowers, the Imperialism of the United States and its Zionist servants. We should not be satisfied with what we have [the Islamic Revolution] within our borders; we should not think we are done. Until this stinky wound and infected gland called “the Israeli Government” is in the heart of Islamic territories, we cannot feel we have won. From the beginning of the Islamic Revolution in Iran to the present time, Palestine remains a burning issue for the Muslims of the world. The centrality of Palestine for the leadership of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Muslim world is undeniable . . . . Speech to the Iranian Military’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (June 30, 1991). Our position against Israel is, as always: Israel is a malignant cancer gland that needs to be uprooted. In contrast to what shallow people believe, it is not impossible to defeat Israel and the United States. Superpowers have come and gone throughout history. Materialistic powers are neither everlasting nor infinite. Yesterday, there was a power called the Soviet Union. It was one of the superpowers, but it no longer exists. A similar historical contemporary change is still before us . . .

KF: "JJ and GE: Address tone please. Patience is limited. KF" Please note that my response to JJ was to state that you had requested an end to the sniping and asked him to respect your wishes. What "tone" (from me) were you referring to?George Edwards

GE, there is a definite problem as noted with the resort to rhetoric of distraction, distortion and denigration. On the substantial matter it is clear that only something that mobilises citizens already there in a responsible way can meet the need for response in seconds when police SWAT teams are 10 - 30+ minutes away. The best solution is to follow the Swiss model and adapt it, to address duty of collective self defense. Not recommended, what is emerging in Sweden as we speak: http://www.gatestoneinstitute.org/6865/sweden-anarchy In short, the issue is a live one. KFkairosfocus

"Sorry Jack, KF has asked us to stop sniping at each other. Please have some respect for his wishes." That's not sniping George, it is pointing out bad reasoning. Now you are most welcome to leave your house door open and your windows open and at the same time, go out with your home unattended because robberies are occurring anyway. You are welcome to follow through on that odd logic.Jack Jones

"In fact, I don’t lock the doors on my house or my car." So you claim but we cannot verify. We can do a logical analysis of your thinking about security. Do you think that people leaving their car doors and windows open and leaving their front door and downstairs windows of their house open without anybody attending to either would be sensible according to the odd logic that house robberies and car thefts are going to happen anyway? Do you tell people that shutting their downstairs windows at night while they go up to bed is stupid because house breaks in are still going to occur? "I have several wealthy friends and none of them have gates or security systems." I am sure they do have windows and doors that they do not leave wide open at night or when they go out and nobody is at home. If robberies were occurring in their Neighbourhood then would you say that it is ok for them to go out and leave their door and windows wide open because robberies are occurring anyway. Would you tell them to disable any security system they had and say it is ok just to leave everything wide open? "In this statement Jack is: 1) lying 2) misrepresenting the facts 3) baring false witness 4) all of the above" And yet you are unable to back up that claim, That's a big fail for you George. "Tune in tomorrow for the correct answer." The correct answer is to tighten the borders, the wrong answer is to claim that we shouldn't tighten our borders because islamic terrorism will still occur in the world. That is crazy logic.Jack Jones
